Welcome

Dear Listener,

My name is Ozan Ardic, and I’m a composer and fortepianist originally from Baku, Azerbaijan. I create music with the hope that it meets you in a quiet, meaningful place —one shaped not by expectation, but by openness. Each piece I write is part of a larger body of work I call my “Opera.” Every note is chosen with care, and each composition is connected by a coded structure in leitmotifs, harmony, form, as well as melody (or sometimes lack there-of), allowing the works to speak to one another over time. Together, they form a kind of musical autobiography — individual volumes on a shelf, marking moments in a life lived, a story told.

I blend traditional tonal language with modal colours, always searching for a voice that feels both rooted and personal to who I am, what I like, and the context that I represent. I write to share something sincere — something that despite being able to resonate differently with each person, in each moment, has an absolute intended existence coded to a fabric of understanding beyond the subjective. If you take interest in learning more about my aesthetic philosophies or artistic process, I recommend you watch their respective videos found on my YouTube channel linked below.

Gratefully yours,

Ozan Ardic
